Daniel Barbosa is an IT Project Manager focused on Digital Transformation, Process Optimization and Artificial Intelligence. His career began in Systems Engineering and developed through business and process analysis, which shaped the way he approaches technology: starting from the process and the people who depend on it.

Over the following years he managed and implemented digital solutions across different business areas, including Supply Chain, Procurement and Purchasing. That work involved SAP and SAP Ariba, Business Process Management, KPI management, process digitalization and process optimization, always with continuous improvement as the underlying method.

Project management became the natural centre of this work. Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, aligning scope, deadlines and business requirements, and working with Agile and Scrum practices, he connects technical delivery with the organisational reality around it.

Today that trajectory continues into research. Alongside his role as IT Project Manager, Daniel is pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Engineering at ISEP, deepening his knowledge of AI and exploring how intelligent systems can support processes, organisations and decision-making.
